Our OLPH Middle School Youth Group is made up of students in grades 6-8 and our OLPH High School Youth Group is made up of students in grades 9-12.
We know how busy life is for students and their families and because of that, we have aligned our Youth Group calendar with local Catholic high school calendars and we make every effort to not hold events and meetings on long holiday weekends. With that being said, we also know how vitally important nurturing a healthy Catholic faith life is for our young people. Our Youth Group ministry offers so much for parents raising young people. Youth Group ministry offers many opportunities for students such as mid-week programs, Sunday evening Youth Group, special missions, evangelization opportunities, community service, Diocesan events, retreats, conferences, and much more. Once a student is registered for Youth Group they will be registered for Wednesday mid-week and Sunday evening happenings.
Parents are required to register their student for either the Middle School Group or the High School Group. Once registered, parents will receive regular OLPH Youth Group meeting information, calendar of events for the school year, and special ministry announcements that pertain to both groups. By registering your young person, parents are assisting our ministry staff by providing important information needed for clear communication including any medical issues, waivers and other information you want the ministry team to know about your young person.

So what’s new for ’24-’25?
We have two separate youth groups meeting simultaneously in small groups for our middle school grades 6-8 and our high school grades 9-12. Our OLPH Youth Group ministry team includes our OLPH ministry staff members, vetted young adult volunteers, and our high school volunteer leadership council.
Cross Walk Youth Group Our Mid-Week Youth Groups meet on Wednesday evenings (Dinner is served at 6-6:30pm in St Therese Hall) After dinner, our groups will meet 6:30-7:30pm for relevant discussion topics of our Catholic faith in the modern world. Our one hour long meeting is filled with dynamic deep dives into our Catholic Faith. Students will gain practical knowledge about developing their Catholic faith in Jesus. Students will discover how even in the modern world, they can represent their Catholic faith in authentic manner. Students will be inspired to discover opportunities to personally grow and nurture their belief in Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.
E.D.G.E. Youth Group meet on Sunday evenings from 7-8:30pm in Fr Gresham Hall. E.D.G.E. offers opportunities for Education, Discipleship, Growth, and Evangelism in our Catholic Faith through an engaging ministry series that is packed with relevant topics, cool games, special events, fellowship, and missions opportunities designed especially for our Middle School and High School Youth Groups. E.D.G.E. builds a strong foundation for young people to experience how the ancient wisdom found in our Catholic faith will prepare them for taking on life in the 21st century. It may sound serious, but don’t worry, there is a ton of fun packed into what our students get to do each week! This E.D.G.E. Youth Group program is built upon Biblically rich content mobilizing teens to live with godly perspective and evident faith in their daily life.
