Our Lady of Germantown is blessed with very
diverse parishioners from different countries, with different cultures, and with different
traditions coming together to glorify and worship God as one community.
In the Spring of 2024, the International Community was formed with the purpose of
supporting our Parish leaders in its spiritual revival mission and for parishioners to come
together to celebrate diversity, promote parish engagement and belongingness, encourage
fellowship, cultural exchange, and community building through Christ.
The first International Potluck Dinner was held in the Spring of 2024, and it was a
massive success. Attended by approximately over 300 people from our parish as well as
from other parishes who came and celebrated with us and many of the attendees dressed
up in their traditional outfits. Due to its huge success, we will expand the celebration and
coordinate an international potluck twice a year, one in the spring and one in the fall. For
future spring international potluck, we plan to incorporate cultural presentations,
curations, and fun activities and continue to encourage everyone to dress up in their
traditional outfit to make it more enjoyable.
