United in Faith, United in Mission Capital Campaign

What is the United in Faith, United in Mission Capital Campaign?

The United in Faith, United in Mission Capital Campaign is seeking to raise funds to sustain the future of Our Lady to move her from maintenance to mission. The campaign will raise funds to support the following initiatives at Our Lady: Catholic Education, Spiritual Growth & Evangelization, and Sanctuary Beautification, as well as support the Diocese of Memphis. Pledges are payable over the course of four years.

How will the funds be allocated?

$300,000- Catholic Education

$300,000- Spiritual Growth & Evangelization

$800,000- Diocese of Memphis

$1,600,000- Sanctuary Beautification

Why are funds being allocated to the diocese?

The Diocese of Memphis is running a capital campaign called United in Faith, which has the 2022 Annual Catholic Appeal (ACA) included in it. Each parish in the diocese is required to participate in this campaign. Before the campaign was launched, each parish was given two options on how to run the campaign. One option was to raise the funds required to meet the parish’s ACA goal, and then all funds above that goal would be split 50/50 between the diocese and the parish. The second option was to run a combined campaign, which is how Our Lady has chosen to participate. This means the parish guarantees their United in Faith contribution to the diocese, and then every dollar raised over the diocesan guarantee stays at Our Lady. Our campaign goal is $3,000,000; $800,000 will be paid to the diocese in quarterly payments over four years. The remaining funds raised will stay at Our Lady to meet her needs.

When should I make my gift?

The United in Faith, United in Mission Campaign Commitment Weekend is April 30/May 1. It is strongly encouraged that parishioners make their gift on or before Commitment Weekend. It is also encouraged that gifts are made after attending a reception and prayerfully considering a sacrificial gift.

How do I make a gift? Can I designate it to a specific fund?

Gifts can be made online by clicking here. Pledge cards are also available at receptions and the parish office. It is encouraged that pledges be made payable over four years with a down payment, but a four-year commitment is not required, nor is a down payment. Gifts can also be made in the form of one-time gifts, gifts of stock, IRA rollover, etc. If you wish to designate your gift to a specific parish case item, please email onlinegiving@olphgermantown.org
