Swimming Overview
Middle school swimming is open to girls and boys in the 6-8 grade.  The team has no minimums; however we need 4 girls and/or boys to make a relay team.  Swim practice is held at the Germantown Athletic Club on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:30-4:30 pm or 7:30 -8:30 pm. Practice is not required, but is to the swimmers benefit to attend practice.  The coaching staff for the Germantown Swim team (year around competitive team with over 60 years combines experience in coaching) will instruct the swimmers on proper technique of strokes starts and turns.  Meets are held once a month between November and February, ending with the Championship meet.  In order to participate in the championship meet a swimmer must swim in at least two regular season meets. Parent Volunteers will be needed at the swim meets.

Equipment needed: Goggles, swim fins (not necessary but helpful) swim suit, caps and t-shirt will be provided by the league.
